5th Annual Cottage Party

After taking the Chi-Cheemaun to Tobermory we were on the last stretch to our final destination...Kincardine. This is the 5th year we have invited friends up to our cottage for a weekend of relaxing, drinking, eating and games...some more than others and I'm not exactly sure if anyone is relaxed by the time Monday rolls around.

This year we had some early arrivers Thursday morning and in total had about 20 people come and go over the course of the weekend. There were many bocce ball championships and dips in the lake - it was warm until Sunday but even then some of us mustered up the courage. The weather was beautiful the whole time, not one drop of rain but we did have a fire ban so no bonfires for us (a litle disappointing considering I can't even recall ever having a ban before and we are right on the beach next to the water). Ah well, we survived.

With no fires during the evening the drinking games became the main past-time - from 3-Man to 3-Man H to H to H and drinking dominos to pussy shot bocce there was a game for everyone. Honorable mention goes to the Pearl Jam concert live on the deck and Catch Phrase which helped keep the designated drivers entertained too. 10 cases of beer and umpteen bottles of alcohol later, Monday arrived too quickly and another weekend had come and gone.

As usual, it was another one for the books. I'm already looking forward to next year and what's in store...
